Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@farmandfeline.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Begin by filling out our online adoption application. This helps us learn about your home, lifestyle, and what type of pet would be the best match for you.

Our team reviews every application carefully. If we have questions or need more information, we’ll contact you directly.

Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll schedule a meet-and-greet so you can spend time with the animal you’re interested in.

Adoption fees cover vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, and basic medical care. Exact details may vary by animal.

Timelines vary depending on application volume and the specific animal. Many adoptions are completed within 1–2 weeks.

Yes! We may ask for landlord approval or documentation confirming that pets are allowed.

At this time, we only adopt to applicants within the state of North Carolina.

We require all dogs living within the home to attend the meet and greet. For cats, we provide guidance on proper introductions.

We always accept our animals back. If things don’t work out, we encourage you to contact us—no judgment, ever.

When bringing home a rescue, it usually takes 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to start learning the new routine, and 3 months to feel completely at home. This is just a general guideline, and all animals will adjust differently, but it is important to keep this in mind when bringing home a new pet.

We are unable to accept owner surrenders or animals dropped off by the public. Instead, we work closely with local shelters and community organizations to help free up space and support animals in need within their systems.

We work exclusively with registered 501(c)3 organizations and community groups seeking support for animals already in their care.
